Maps4fs
Overview
By combining Maps4FS with the Giants Editor Procedural Generator tools we can regenerate textures/foliage/trees/other i3d objects in our map based on publicly available info maps of the area.
The Maps4FS project is available at iwatkot/maps4fs
Installation
- Make sure the PG Scripts are installed.
- Run Maps4FS as usual. Maps4FS includes a PG ruleset based on the PG Scripts by default.
- Open
Window/Procedural Placement...
in the Giant Editor and go to theRule
tab. - Before proceding, click back on your main window and make sure your map is saved.
- Press “Place Objects”
When running bigger rulesets this can take several minutes. The editor will completly “hang” during this generation. Don’t worry, just let it do it’s thing.
